During my recent transit in Genoa, I stayed at Affittacamere Bed And Breakfast San Lorenzo and found it to be quite convenient. One of the highlights was its location, as it is only 2 km away from Genova Brignole station. This proximity made it easy for me to catch my train without any hassle. the fact that it is just 10 km away from Cristoforo Colombo airport was a notable advantage for those looking for a quick and easy commute.
There was one minor downside that I experienced during my stay. I would have appreciated having a "do not disturb" sign in my room.

I recently stayed at this charming bed and breakfast for 5 nights. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the historic city, within walking distance of all the main sights and transportation. The proprietor was incredibly helpful, guiding us to the accommodation and even providing a parking space. The breakfast was generous and there were self-catering facilities available. The separate lounge/kitchen/dining area was a bonus, providing a cozy space to relax.
Would recommend this hotel.

The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The breakfast provided had a wide variety of options and was quite satisfying. Plus, we loved having access to a shared kitchen and sitting room, which allowed us to relax and interact with other guests. One major advantage was the central location, close to many historical sites and attractions that made exploring the city a breeze.
We found it challenging to navigate the city using public transportation. The advertised bus route was difficult to find, so we ended up taking the Metro instead, which was more convenient.

The staff at San Lorenzo was amazing, providing excellent service and going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even left water bottles in our room every day. The daily room cleaning and towel changes were a nice touch. And the breakfast spread offered a wide variety of options.
We felt right at home at San Lorenzo, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent - clean and well-designed rooms. The location was great, just a short walk to the cathedral and port area. The staff were friendly and provided helpful recommendations.
The breakfast offerings could be improved with the addition of ham and cheese.
